Looking for canyoning in Doussard – Annecy area? Get ready to laugh! Montmin canyon is the most entertaining canyon in the Annecy region!

The nant (river in Savoyard dialect) of Montmin has dug into the limestone of the Tournette massif, one of the best canyons in Savoie. Located very close to Lake Annecy, this canyon always has a good water level even in the middle of summer. The clear waters of the many pools that dot this canyon are an invitation to try the most beautiful jumps (which are never obligatory). No downtime in this canyon since the jumps follow one another with slides, a little swimming, walking or rope descents. The unique environment alone is worth the detour: it’s the little Amazon!

I offer you two descent formulas:

Montmin Canyon discovery version:

The best choice for a first canyoning experience. In less than 2 hours you will understand why this sport is so much fun! Barely 5 minutes of walking and here you are in a completely different world. You follow this river with transparent water, surrounded by lush vegetation. We will quietly descend through the blocks, the first pools appear. A first passage requires a rope, you try the abseiling technique there. Then quickly you find the first possibilities of jumping into the welcoming pools. The water has even sculpted for our pleasure real natural slides in some places. The workshops follow one another for the pleasure of all. Families, children, for a test or because you do not have time to do longer, you will love this canyoning descent. The discovery part of Montmin is the easiest of our offers, but you will have a good assortment of what canyoning offers. For a better service, groups are limited to 8 people per guide. Warning, although this is a discovery canyon, you must be physically fit (be able to hike 2 hours on steep terrain for two hours without problems).

Montmin Canyon sportive version:

We start from the really top of the canyon via a rather steep access. Once your feet are in the water, you will be given a briefing to safely descend the various obstacles. A first jump of 2m followed by a slide gets us in the mood, we’re going to have a laugh! On the upper part you will pass by the “atomic bomb” then under a magnificent arch. The atmosphere is magnificent and the obstacles fun. In about 1 hour we reach the lower part of the canyon at the Inversens waterfall. Another hour of sensations with jumps (up to 7m), slides and abseiling.

You will be equipped with neoprene suits, socks, harness and helmet. The descent lasts about 2h30.
